I have an incredible sound experience to relate: I was in my car waiting to turn at an intersection. I was first to go around the corner at a busy intersection so there was a bit of a wait. There was this techno type song playing on the radio. The song was mainly drum beats oscillating faster and faster. I remember feeling a little uncomfortable by it as it played faster and faster and really didn't have much else going for it other than the drum beats. Anyway...you know when you see hubcaps on a car spinning in slow motion because it is actually spinning so quickly that the cycles are creating this illusion. This began happening to me by the music. The drum beats oscillating were so fast they went into this new level of slow beats. My whole body began vibrating and I felt like I was in an altered space of reality. The street light changed to blue (normally I see green but I saw blue). I went to put the car in gear and my hand went through the the gear shift. I thought..oh my god.!! I saw my physical hand drop to where the parking break would be. I panicked and suddenly my both hands merged(astral and physical) and I was able to put the car in gear. I drove in slow motion around the corner and pulled into a bus stop to regroup. The experience was so bizarre as the initial vibrations were ecstatic. It felt like heaven coupled suddenly with such a frazzelled, frantic energy.

  • Kule description of your flashback, flash-forward or what-cha-ma-call-it trans-dimensional trip you took. The music was accomplishing what is called "auditory driving".
“Drumming rhythms can influence the human body because of a phenomenon of nature called entrainment. Entrainment is defined as a synchronization of two or more rhythmic cycles and was first discovered by Dutch scientist Christian Huygens in 1665. While working on the design of the pendulum clock, Huygens found that when he placed two of them on a wall near each other and started them at different times, they would eventually end up ticking in unison. Entrainment has been found to be a universal force in nature and will act on any two or more vibrating bodies as long as they have similar rhythmic cycles.”

  • There are many stock, off the rack, brainwave entrainment musics available ones like Hemi-Sync or Steven Halpern - I've Loved Spectrum Suite especially for years, and there is a kule new release or most anything else he's done from Inner Peace Music and here is a link to a new style that doesn't rely so heavily on headphones I Love the Hemi-Sync. Especially the ones for delta wave sleep, for the times I really need to get Deep rest. Also, ones based on the heartbeat are sweet, harkening back to early memories in the womb clear up to the moment. Thanks and Praises.
  • Holosync®; and REI have off the shelf stuff and custom, tailor-made, affirmations in your own voice, one-o-a-kind kind a deals, there. Holosync® will let you listen on-line free with hype and send you a free sample CD if you answer a questionnaire a givem your eddress and your address.
Anyone have any oscillating software? :)
  • Yep.
  • If you are into technical stuff like recording there's a software program that will encode the brainwave entrainment binaural beats into what ever foreground music you wish to use. Shareware it costs about a hundred dollars US to register it and it is downloadable for un-crippled trial. The binaural beats are barely noticeable if at all, so your favorite music comes through just fine with the added payload of brainwave entrainment to a particular state.
  • I channel Reiki through acoustic instruments played with the hands. Percussion and tuned percussion for the most part. I also recognize that accurate speakers and modern recording methods are getting closer to the ideal of acoustic instruments and have therapeutic value as well.
  • "Nada Brahma" Sanskrit for "The World IS Sound" pretty much bottom lines this facet of my practice. Color and light is a kule vibe of a more frequent sort, as is Reiki and Prayer. These modalities are all connected in my way of thinking, part and parcel, All is sound and music hung on a field of silence and utter stillness, the center of the wheel where motion ceases, Source.
Thanks for Everyting!
Drumming Peace!

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”

“[Rhythm] is there in the cycles of the seasons, in the migrations of the birds and animals, in the fruiting and withering of plants, and in the birth, maturation and death of ourselves,” Hart told a Senate panel studying music therapy.

THE PIANO
Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Pladerewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked "NO ADMITTANCE!" When the houselights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, “Don't quit. Keep playing”. Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around the child and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. And the audience was mesmerized.

Whatever our situation in life and history - however outrageous, however desperate, whatever dry spell of the spirit, whatever dark night of the soul - God is whispering deep within our beings, “Don't quit. Keep playing. You are not alone. Together we will transform the broken patterns into a masterwork of my creative art. Together we will mesmerize the world with our song of peace.
