Due to the dissolution of our life savings and a forced "coming out of retirement," advertising was added in 2K7 in an effort to generate much needed funds to keep this alive. Since Google ads were added to most of the pages the income generated has not quite offset the cost of the Internet Service Provider. However, we are truly blessed in that it has kept Signa Phi Nothing viable!

Google AdSense, far from being a negative thing, seem to be an enhancement of the particular page viewed. This is because the advertisments displayed are tailored to keywords in the text appearing on the page itself and so are useful and relevant to the interest of the person viewing the page. On 8APR2K9, Google began placing cookies that record what that person shows interest in and provides ads even more closely tailored to the viewer based on this impersonally identifed information. Some folks may see this as an invasion of their privacy and if you feel this way then you may visit Google's Opt Out Page and simply clicking a button disables the cookie generation for the browser you are using.
