I was shocked to find that our sacred 3 symbols are readily available on line through a simple google search. I was taught that no one is to be shown these symbols unless they are trained to use them... so i have kept mine hidden from my husband and friends only to find them on line today! What is with that???????
  • I reckon Diane Stein caught a lot of heat about the publishing of the symbols in one of her books many years ago, and I bet her ears are still burnin'. Since the "cat was out of the bag" there was no need to "close the barn door" on "spilt milk" ...Nudge, nudge, wink Wink, know wattameen? know wattaMeen? ...outing the symbols (in all their variation due to the rumor factor compounded by secrecy) Has gotten fashionable <grin>.

“There are no secrets better kept than the secrets that everybody guesses.”
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

“All propaganda has to be popular and has to adapt its spiritual level to the perception of the least intelligent of those towards whom it intends to direct itself. The great masses of the people [...] will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.”
- Adolf Hitler (Nazi Reich Chancellor, in Mein Kampf)

“Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth.”

“I am only an entertainer who has understood his time.”
- Pablo Picasso (Spanish painter and sculptor)

“Most people seem to agree that we cannot and do not want to go back to the past, but the reason given is often wrong; that time has moved on and what was can never be again. The truth is that we cannot go back to what we never left. Our home is the earth, our time the Pleistocene Ice Ages. The past is the formula for our being.”
-Paul Shepard, "The Tender Carnivore and the Sacred Game"

“To live in an enchanting world we also have to assume a receptive posture rather than an exclusively active one. We can become skilled at allowing the world in, taking its secrets to heart and finding power outside of ourselves.”
- Thomas Moore in The Education of the Heart
