I believe it is NOT alright to send healing to someone without their permission as you are interfering with their Karma.

People hold onto illnesses all the time if they serve a specific function, getting their needs met, having people care for them, etc.
  • You know there is even a Name for this vibe you describe above when it becomes a recognized psychiatric disorder listed in the DSM III-R, it's called "Munchausen's Syndrome" and there is also a related illness "Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy" Note: the provided link is not for the faint o' heart.
I have had people tell me that others have verbally rejected their offer to heal and they decided to send anyway.
  • That seems rudesque behavior and not following the rules to cricket or Major League Baseball <grin>. The road to Hell is paved with Good Intentions, to which I say so is the road to Heaven, so "Good Intentions" is obviously a common paving material in the Spirit world.

When you feel the compulsion to send Reiki to those who have not granted permission, you may want to ask yourself what it is about this situation that is pressing buttons in you. Why the need to send and intervene, rescue or save..... Once you know that... you will have learned a valuable lesson in your own conditionings. Perhaps the solution when you feel the need to send to another without permission is to send it to yourself :)

- Robert A. Johnson in Owning Your Own Shadow
  • I don't ask for permission. I Offer Reiki rather than Ask, when possible, to the person directly in words. On the occasion this is not possible then I offer up Reiki or Prayer to their less substantial Etheric facets. Singular were the times that I got “Wait” as an answer, actually Never have I gotten a “No.” Here is a link to a poem that someone else wrote and I changed up and put on my webpages called JAH Blessing in No that amplifies this concept.

- David Friedman

“Those who are enlightened 'liberate' themselves not from the world but from their own deluded minds, which force metaphysical distinctions upon the world. If it is a cow, it is a cow; if it is a moon shining through the window, it is moonlight.”

- Booker T. Washington

“Do nothing, and leave nothing undone.”

“Do not judge whether what you are doing is impressive or mediocre, spiritual or mundane. Just do it with enthusiasm. Just give yourself to whatever you do with this full knowledge: "God is within me. All actions that I perform are an offering to Him." ”

It was never between you and them anyway."
