Ordination By: Reverend R Clark <clark@acceleration.net>

Q: How do I become a Reverend?
  • There are diploma mills that offer certification, I have one of their I.D. cards in my wallet... it cost nothing and is probably worth every penny.
  • I became a Reverend by paying for and taking weekly classes for several months and pay (50$US) dues annually to maintain my Ministerial status under the "umbrella" of Alliance of Divine Love (ADL). This is offered as in person class or by snail/Email. The TOTAL PROGRAM, INCLUDING TEXT BOOKS, $570 (slightly higher for correspondence students) and tuition can be paid one third at a time, or about $190, for each term. If you choose to enroll with them please feel more than welcome to drop my name with Rev. Bob Estling the director. It is a Very popular course here. Many of the members of the Seraphim Center (an interfaith church, basically) are also Reverends more numerous than rank and file parishioners I often think. The course work is accessible to all who can read and understand English, for someone like myself who have had a long study history in spiritual matters, psychology and counselling, and so forth it was very basic and pedestrian. I wouldn't lead you to expect any profound revelations from the text books and they do provide a foundation to functioning effectively as a Minister plus there is a monthly snail-mail newsletter to keep folks informed and an annual conference to meet with other Reverends and oooo... a Photo I.D. On the webpage (the link I provide above) there is a guideline of questions/tests to compare programs for Ministerial certification that may prove helpful in your decision.

I hope this Helps!
Thanks for Everything!
One Love, R

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marianne Williamson (A Return to Love: Reflections On The Principles of A Course In Miracles, p. 165, HarperCollins, 1992) Quoted by Nelson Mandela in his 1994 Inaugural Address
